Lads & Lasses, looking for a bit of advice. The service i'm with is introducing IO access for adults at the moment. B.I.G. or EZ IO drill , what would you go for if you had the choice? Why ? and is there any evidence to back up your decision?

Racking my brain to what the B.I.G. is but have been trained in the EZ IO, never used it in anger but appears to be a good bit of kit.

Not familiar with EZ-IO but had a play with a BIG at Ambex - it's extremely straightforward (at least when firing needles into bits of foam anyway).
I'll get me anorak... We put the "taxi" into epistaxis...

EZ IO drill seems tha fave at present as the others are more suited to military special ops. Watched a video of a dr drilling another dr (American of course) whilst he was fully cons with no pain relief and he felt very little pain. The only time he felt pain was they flushed. Still, no fuckers coming anywhere near me with that shit unless I'm uncons....
