Well that was predictable. Both Tech and Para banding appeals knocked back. Bands 4 & 5 it is then.

You're right, it was quite predictable.
Technicians in Scotland had originally achieved 308 points but after it went to "Review" it only increased to 315 points, leaving Scottish techncians still in band 4. I think the Scottish paramedics points remained exactly the same after the "Review" as they were before the review. This meant that they remained in band 5 almost 30 points short of band 6. Disappointing outcomes all round. |

I made it 5 points short of maximum for band 5.
The thing puzzling Techs in Scotland is the fact they have same skills as most of the English services and they are getting scored lower. It seems there is a fair amount of wriggle room when the decision is made this seems contrary to what we were led to believe the AFC system achieved? We tend to look to LAS to see what way things are going as they seem the most pro-active and are similairly skilled. So the question I am asking is wtf went wrong? |
