A deal has been done between uniscum and management for Tech's, the review put Tech's into band 5, management offered to move us across at pay point 18 of band 5, uniscum told us that if it went to consistency checking it definitly would come out at band 4 and we would then be stuck there, and told we would have to work with other Tech's and the new ECA drivers. if we accept the deal to move to pay point 19 we have to complete UNI of Teeside study skills programme, allied to a commitment to undertake the para entry assessment process, individuals would then progress through to pay point 21. Anyone who then decided not to continue with para course would stay at point 21. also offered as "compensation" for a reduction in our basic pay a one off payment of 5000 for Tech's employed over 4 years.
