It started off so well! But over recent years feel that it sometimes hits the gutter! We don't all have to agree with them. Threads are generally there to provoke discussion. Isn't that what an internet forum is for? On a personal level, well gutter humour makes me smile. I work in EOC. If you worked in a miserable, repressive, windowless area as I do, just about any kind of humour would eventually make you smile. The result is that workers within the LAS (and elsewhere across the uk) have not for many years had a voice, or for that matter a "Friend at work" in Unison. A 1% whisper, in a barely disguised gerrymandered vote on the three year pay deal for example? Ambulance workers had, to all intents and purposes, no say in it whatsoever. Oppressed people in the LAS are ill advised to stick their name on anything. There is no freedom to speak, no union to do it for us, and the only voice left is the BWT. Your colleagues in management are all listening, they are angry and increasingly desperate that they can do fuck all about it. The whole lot is going to blow up in your face the way things are going, and you and your chums must, and will, take all the credit for it. As for bullying? What is it when the bully's are bullied? Funny that you witness this alleged bullying taking place for many years, and only now decided to speak out in such a dramatic display of openness. Another sweaty chat in a corridor perchance? NO! Carry on BWT, because you are the only effective voice left, but yes that voice should be used responsibly. As has been said, I think the Boss and Wiggy do an excellent job in seeing it is reasonably responsible forum, without interferring too much with it's freedom of expression. The site has always been a piss taking one, not a bullying one. If persons are slagged off, there done so because some one wants to vent there frustration, again another reason for this site. Which ever union your in your going to want to defend it, if you feel that passionate about it, its going to cause debate (mass) ;)
