			<description><![CDATA[ Hi I know some of the colder parts have fluid warmers in their ambos... but what about the rest of you ?? <br><br>How do you warm your fluids ?<br><br>I know you can put them next to the heater either in the back or in the cab - but it still takes lots of time to do - time the patient may not have.<br><br>Does anyone have their own ideas on this ?<br><br>Grateful for any help<br><br> ]]></description>

Last week I had a 72yr old guy who fitted and flatlined, on our 4th loop we managed to get back an output and I decided to make a dash with it, before we lost him again. Upon speaking to Dr's , Cardiologists etc, they say that in an out of hospital environment you are a fool to delay yourselves on scene completing such a... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Hello,<br>Although I enjoy as much as the next man (or woman) inflicting painful stimuli on punters not responding to A(V)PU, what is deemed the best/most appropriate stimulus to gauge a GCS mtor response score? Is it sternum rub, supra orbital pressure or (my definite favourite and usually gets the most satisfying response) fingernail bed pressure (ie bloody hard with pen)? Also, what is a 'trapezium squeeze' as I have not seen it done or been informed of it previously?<br> ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Used Benzylpenecillin for the first time the other day and encountered a couple of problems that people should be aware of.  Firstly when you try to mix the water with the drug, the vacum in the bottle makes it impossible to inject the water.  To get over this you need 2 needles one to break the vacum the other for the solution.  Also for the adult dose it needs 20 mls of saline, that will not fit into the container!<br><br>Secondly it takes ages to dissolve, if you try to draw it up to early... ]]></description>

I get there to find a lad lying on the sofa. Obs are:<br><br>Pulse: about 40<br>Sats: 98% on 100% O2<br>BM: 17.7 then 19.7 then 22.7 during removal and treatment.<br>BP 115/80 ish<br>Resp: 30 deep and sighing (hmmm....!)<br>ECG showed V1-V3 ST elevation with ischaemia and flipped Ts across the rest of the ECG,... ]]></description>
